Enter emergency contact information

Learn how to manage emergency contact information for users, including guidance for volunteers and advice for situations when a contact cannot be provided.

Written by Cristiana Ghinea

Emergency contact details help ensure you're prepared in case of an incident. You can add or update these on a user's record. Volunteers can also enter their own emergency contacts, or you can include this task as part of an induction module.

Add or update emergency contact information

  1. Open the user’s record.

  2. Click the Contacts tab.

  3. Scroll to the Emergency contacts section.

  4. If no emergency contacts are listed, click Click here to add one.

  5. If an emergency contact already exists, click Edit to update or add another.

  6. Enter the required details.

  7. Click Save & Close.

What to do if an emergency contact cannot be provided

If you need to remove an emergency contact and do not have a new one to add, enter the name as None Provided and set the relationship to None.

Empowering volunteers to manage emergency contacts

Volunteers can add or update their own emergency contact details by following these steps on their records.

You may find it helpful to include emergency contact entry as part of a training module for volunteers during their induction to Assemble.
