Good Morning Team Assemble!

Over the last couple of weeks we've been hard at work on the mobile product — but that hasn't stopped us developing on the core Assemble platform too. I'm really pleased to be releasing the Diversity V2 Import and our additional vetting body options in this update. Both of these have been built to make your lives easier, feel free to let me know how you get on with them.

Alongside this, we've been working hard on platform performance improvements. We're also excited to be giving early access to a small group of customers to start testing our new Evo offerings for volunteer management — where volunteer managers get their key tasks at the click of a button, and administrators have instant access to all the data you've carefully collected in Assemble over the years. I'm really looking forward to hearing how you and your teams use these.

The age bracket labels in the Diversity question set 2 have been updated to use accurate and consistent wording, ensuring volunteers see clear and correct options when completing diversity information.

New vetting body options have been added to the vetting configuration, giving organisations greater flexibility when recording and managing volunteer vetting requirements.

The lodash library has been updated to address CVE-2025-13465, a critical security vulnerability. This update ensures Assemble remains protected against known security risks in third-party dependencies.

Fixed a bug where changes made to outcome questions on an activity (event) were not being saved correctly. Administrators can now update activity outcome question sets and see their changes reflected immediately.

Resolved a validation issue where Irish Eircode-format phone numbers were being incorrectly rejected by the system. Irish phone numbers are now accepted and validated correctly.

Fixed a bug where duplicating an opportunity was causing the new opportunity to display an incorrect advert running date online. Duplicated opportunities now correctly inherit and display the intended dates.

Resolved two related issues where sending messages to volunteers by role was failing or not delivering correctly. Messaging by role now works reliably for all organisations.

Fixed intermittent failures affecting rota management and volunteer search functionality. Both features now operate consistently without unexpected errors or timeouts.

Admins can now import diversity information directly into Assemble when an organisation has Diversity v2 enabled. All diversity questions are available as mappable fields in the bulk user import tool. Multi-select questions can be imported using a pipe-separated format (e.g. Option A|Option B). If an unrecognised option is provided, the import fails gracefully with a clear error so you can correct and retry. Imported data is immediately reflected on the volunteer's profile, and an audit log entry is created for each update. Requires the Bulk Action permission.

Internal email lookups have been significantly optimised. Previously, certain inbound email operations required scanning large portions of the database, contributing to slower response times under load. Email address lookups are now resolved almost instantly, reducing server load and improving overall platform responsiveness.

We have extended our internal platform monitoring to include additional organisation and user identifiers across all system traces and metrics. This enables our engineering team to diagnose and resolve issues more quickly, resulting in a more reliable and stable experience for all Assemble users.

Resolved an issue where volunteer records were failing to load for some users. Affected pages now display correctly without requiring a page refresh or workaround.

Fixed a bug where compulsory training modules were not appearing in the Reports and Training view within Assemble, even though they were visible in exports. Compulsory modules now display correctly in the in-app view, consistent with exported data.
